Seminary Launches a Planned Giving Initiative

Jordanville Seminary Guardians of Tradition—a fellowship of visionary benefactors whose foresight and generosity safeguard the future of Orthodox theological education.

For more than 75 years, Holy Trinity Orthodox Seminary in Jordanville, NY (often referred to as the "Jordanville Seminary") has been a beacon of Orthodox theological education in America, preparing faithful servants to tend Christ's vineyard through rigorous academic training and deep spiritual formation rooted in Holy Tradition.

Have you ever wondered how you can make a lasting impact on the Orthodox Church beyond your lifetime? By including the Seminary in your will or estate plan, you participate in the apostolic work of sustaining the Church for generations to come. Your guardian gift offers enduring support—nurturing future clergy, scholars, and lay leaders without affecting your current financial resources. As Scripture teaches us, "A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children" (Proverbs 13:22).

Our mission will continue through the faithful support of Orthodox Christians who understand the critical importance of theological education in preserving and spreading the Orthodox faith. Each generation must nurture and equip those who are called to serve the Church, ensuring that the light of Orthodoxy’s Holy Tradition continues to illuminate the path for future believers.

How to Get Started

Planned giving will provide a very meaningful way to support the Seminary's sacred mission by honoring your commitment to Orthodox education. Options include:

Bequests in a Will or Trust

  • Designate Holy Trinity Orthodox Seminary as a beneficiary in your will or trust.
  • Sample language: "I give, devise, and bequeath to Holy Trinity Orthodox Seminary, a nonprofit organization located in Jordanville, NY, the sum of $______ (or ______% of my estate) to be used for its general purposes (or for a designated purpose)."

Beneficiary Designations

  • Name the Seminary as a beneficiary of a retirement account, life insurance policy, or donor-advised fund—a simple yet profound way to leave a lasting impact on the Church's future.

Charitable Gift Annuities & Trusts

  • Support the Seminary's mission while securing income for yourself or a loved one through charitable remainder trusts or annuities—stewardship that benefits both the Church and your family.

Gifts of Real Estate or Other Assets

  • Transfer real estate, securities, or other assets to ensure the Seminary remains a steadfast pillar of Orthodox theological education.

We would be honored to discuss how your planned gift can help cultivate faithful servants of Christ's Church for generations to come. To discuss more about planned giving opportunities, please contact:
