On May 4, the Sunday of the Myrrh-bearing Women, the 3rd Sunday of Pascha, His Grace Bishop Luke of Syracuse made an archpastoral visit to the Church of the Entrance into the Temple of the Holy Virgin in Jamesville (near Syracuse), NY, where he celebrated Divine Liturgy.

Concelebrating with His Grace were Archpriest Michael Taratuchin (rector of St. John of Kronstadt Memorial Church in Utica, NY), Hieromonk Anatoly (Zilin; cleric of Holy Trinity Monastery, Jordanville, NY), Priest John Malcom (parish cleric), Protodeacon Michael Pavuk (cleric of Holy Trinity Monastery, Jordanville, NY), and Deacon Lazarus Sparandera (cleric of St. John of Kronstadt Church). Archpriest Nicholas Tkatschow, parish rector, received the Holy Mysteries.

In addition to the fact that "St. Mary's" is Vladyka Luke's cathedra, we would like to recognize and celebrate the fact that Fr. Nicholas Tkatschow is the longest serving living alumnus of Holy Trinity Seminary, having graduated  from the seminary in 1962, and being ordained in 1963. The service was sung beautifully by the parish choir.

Upon completion of Liturgy, Bishop Luke delivered a sermon on the Holy Myrrhbearers, and then congratulated all present with the feast.  A festive luncheon was then offered to all in the parish hall.
