Dual Degree Alumnus Ordained to the Holy Priesthood
On Sunday June 22, the second Sunday after Pentecost, the commemoration of All Saints of Russia, after the Cherubic Hymn at the Hierarchal Divine Liturgy, His Grace, Bishop LUKE of Syracuse ordained Deacon Seth Davidenko to the Holy Priesthood at Holy Trinity Monastery.
Fr. Seth had graduated magna cum laude from our undergraduate level Bachelor of Theology (B.Th.) program as the valedictorian of the class of 2018. He immediately continued his theological studies at Holy Trinity Seminary in the fall of that same year, entering our newly-launched graduate level Master of Divinity (M.Div.) program as a member of the inaugural incoming class, thereafter graduating cum laude with his M.Div. in 2021.
Fr. Seth was married in the fall of 2022, and was ordained to the Diaconate by His Eminence, Archbishop Gabriel in the spring of 2023. He is one of only five (5) individuals who have completed both degree programs that our seminary offers, and is now the second of these dual degree graduates to be ordained to the Holy Priesthood.
In the coming months, Fr. Seth is scheduled to be transferred from ROCOR’s Canadian diocese to the Western American Diocese, and assigned to serve as the second priest under Archpriest Alexander Krassovsky at Sts. Peter and Paul Parish in Santa Rosa, CA.
Axios! The seminary and monastery community congratulates Fr. Seth, together with his Matushka Sophia and their son, Clement.
