On Tuesday evening, March 19/31, after the conclusion of Great Compline, His Grace Bishop Luke preformed seven monastic tonsures at Holy Trinity Monastery, including four into the Angelic (lesser) Schema, and advancing three novices to the status of Rassophore Monks.

Three of Jordanville’s new monastic fathers are also our current seminarians. Rassophore Monk Peter (Zubrikov), 2^nd year B.Th./undergraduate student, now Monk Patrick, was tonsured in honor of St. Patrick, Bishop of Armagh, Enlightener of Ireland (~+461).  Rassophore Monk Seraphim (Coverdill), 1^st year M.Div./graduate student, now Monk Theophan, tonsured in honor of St. Theophan the Recluse (+1894). Rassophore Monk Nicholas (Charles), 1^st year M.Div./graduate student, now Monk Hilarion, was tonsured in honor of St. Hieromartyr Hilarion, Archbishop of Vereya (+1929).

In addition, Rassophore Monk Vladimir (Stepanov), now Monk Seraphim, was tonsured in honor of the Venerable St. Seraphim of Vyritsa (+1949)  

May Jordanville’s four new monastic Frs. Seraphim, Patrick, Theophan, and Hilarion each be saved in the Angelic Schema!

Also, Novice Demetrios (Kanaris) is now Rassophore Monk Demetrios, Novice Chad (Suitor) is now Rassophore Monk Chad, and Novice Christos (Hayward) is now Rassophore Monk Christos. SAVE THEM, O CHRIST GOD!
