From April 24th-26th, several seminarians from HTOS participated in an OISM retreat hosted by Christ the Saviour Seminary (ACROD) at Camp Nazareth in Mercer, PA. The retreat focused on pastoral issues surrounding converts and pastoral care for them. 

 

Seminarians participated in discussions on proper pastoral approaches, pressing issues, and the future of OISM as an Organization. John Kurr (HTOS 26') finished his term as OISM president, calling the participants to continue to develop the connections made in OISM beyond the scope of the retreats, and also stressed the importance of identifying and not overlooking the differences that the various schools bring to the conferences, taking the time to understand and engage with them. 

 

Caleb Short (1st year MDiv student) stepped into his role as the new representative of HTOS at OISM, and Lazar Djukic (1st Year MDiv student) became the social media manager, underscoring Holy Trinity Orthodox Seminary's commitment to proactive participation in this inter-seminary initiative.
