I.     Policy Statement

Holy Trinity Orthodox Seminary, which operates on the premises of Holy Trinity Monastery, does not currently employ private college security officers. In the case that the Rector and Board of Trustees determine a need to do so, the appointment of private college security officers will be in compliance with New York State Education Law 6435, in full cooperation with the Herkimer County Sherriff’s Department pursuant to section six hundred sixty-two of the county law.

II. Reason for Policy  

This policy is intended to enable the Seminary to comply with applicable provisions of the New York State Education Law.

III. Applicability of the Policy  

In the case that private college security officers are hired, all members of the campus community shall be familiar with this policy.
