On February 12th, 2015, Holy Trinity Seminary celebrated its patronal feast—The Feast of the Three Hierarchs—in conjunction with its first annual alumni gathering. After the hierarchical Divine Liturgy headed by Archbishop Gabriel of Montreal and Canada, all of the faculty, seminarians, administration, attending alumni, and members of the local community gathered in the seminary hall for a festal reception. During the reception, various alumni shared their memories, experiences, and inspirational stories relating to seminary life, with V. Rev. Archpriest Victor Potapov delivering the keynote address and both V. Rev. Archimandrite Luke and V. Rev. Serge Lukianov mentioning the value of HTOS’ preservation of the traditions established in the context of the Holy Trinity Monastery. Afterwards, the seminary’s assistant to the dean, Rev. Ephraim Willmarth, announced the formation of the “Protopresbyter Valeriy Lukianov” Scholarship Fund—an annual merit scholarship which provides tuition assistance for up to twenty students. The “Ivan V. Kulaeff” Educational Fund and “Metropolitan Philaret” Scholarship were also awarded, so that each full-time credit-earning student received either a partial-tuition scholarship or a full-tuition scholarship. After the culmination of all talks, everyone enjoyed the festive refreshments and informal conversation with the gathered alumni. Holy Trinity Seminary wishes all of its students and faculty many years, patience, and success in all of their personal and spiritual endeavors.
