At Holy Trinity Orthodox Seminary, we believe that all of our graduates should have parish life experience. In the final years of seminary, students travel to various parishes to understand the inner workings of parish life. Recently, our students have been traveling to the Nativity of the Mother of God parish in Albany, New York. Every week, seminarians teach Sunday school classes, serve in the Altar, sing on kliros, deliver sermons, and attend parish council meetings. HTOS graduate Fr. Alexis Duncan is the Rector of the Albany parish and assists in teaching seminarians about the particulars of leading a parish.
On Wednesdays, seminarians meet in class and discuss their experiences from the past week and plan for their future parish visits.
