It is with tremendous gratitude and joy that we announce that on Friday, August 24, Holy Trinity Orthodox Seminary successfully reached our most recent fundraising goal of $50,000 to fund 5 scholarships for our new Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree program.
This major effort bore fruit from many individual donations, ranging from $1 to $10,000! These scholarships will now cover the full cost of tuition and books for 5 incoming students, who will arrive on campus, God-willing, during the Labor Day weekend. A very generous benefactor of the Seminary has pledged, once again, to match, dollar for dollar, that sum of $50,000 to fund 5 more full tuition and books scholarships in honor and memory of Protopresbyter Valery Lukianov.
Holy Trinity Orthodox Seminary is now able to award up to 10 M.Div. scholarships for the 2018-2019 academic year.
If you did not have an opportunity to participate by donating to this campaign but wish to provide additional assistance to our beloved Seminary as we launch and grow this new graduate program, you can still help us! We need significant financial assistance to meet our monthly operating expenses, including faculty salaries and benefits, and to improve our facilities and infrastructure in the months ahead. In particular, the Seminary intends to hire new full-time graduate-level Assistant Professors in Church History and Pastoral Theology who have already earned the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) or Doctor of Theology (Th.D.) degree.
Feel free to contact me by e-mail (mpavuk@hts.edu) or by phone (570-466-0009) to discuss our financial needs, as well as how, as a major contributor, you may secure naming rights to the Seminary library, classrooms, and endowed or term professorial chairs at Holy Trinity Orthodox Seminary..
May the Good Lord bless everyone who has contributed, or is considering donating, to this worthy cause with good health, prosperity (both spiritual and material), and salvation!
