On Monday, December 19, the feast of Holy Hierarch Nicholas, Wonderworker of Myra in Lycia, His Grace Bishop Luke of Syracuse celebrated the festive hierarchical Divine Liturgy in Holy Trinity Monastery.

His Grace was co-served by monastery clergy, and the responses were sung at Vigil on December 18 and at Divine Liturgy on the feast itself by the combined monastery/seminary under the direction of Deacon Nicholas Kotar.

At the Sixth Hour, His Grace tonsured third year seminarian Andrey Slivin a reader.  Upon conclusion of Liturgy, Bishop Luke greeted the faithful with the feast.  Congratulations are extended from the seminary faculty, administration, and students to our seminary dean, Dr. Nicolas G. Schidlovsky on the occasion of his name's day, to Protodeacon Victor Lochmatow (HTS ’67 and Associate Professor Emeritus of Russian Literature) on the 48th anniversary of his ordination to the Holy Diaconate, and to our 3rd year seminary student, newly-tonsured Reader Andrey Slivin.
