On Zaccheus Sunday (5/18 February), Deacon Alban Illingworth, a distance learning student at HTOS, was ordained to the Holy Priesthood by His Grace, Bishop Irenei of London and Western Europe at the diocesan cathedral of the Nativity of the Mother of God and the Holy Royal Martyrs in London. He will carry out his service to the Church at the newly-founded mission of Saint John the Forerunner in the ancient cathedral city of Durham in northern England. Fr. Alban is married with two children, a graduate of Oxford University, a teacher of philosophy, and is currently undertaking seminary education through our Holy Trinity Orthodox Seminary’s online CTS program.
